 Greetings in the name of the only begotten of the Father, Jesus Christ. We would like to take this time to personally thank you for visiting our website  and we pray that the Holy Spirit will lead you to come and share with us . It is our prayer to God that when you come your time here would be, both, inspirational and transformational. We are extremely excited about what God is doing, what God has done, and what God is preparing to do through the One Rugged Cross Church Family. One Rugged Cross exists to encourage all people to pursue a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ. Our history dates back to 1998, when Pastor Alvin Green and a small group of people, including organized  a church in Dallas, Texas. In Pastor Alvin Green Childhood that  he  inherited from his Great Grand Mother that raised him , Annie Mae Robinson.    We are a nondenominational, evangelical Christian church. That means that we are governed by our own Pastor, not an outside organization. About 120 people worship at what we call 1RCC each Sunday

 

History

Relationships, Not Numbers

Our focus has always been on people and helping them pursue relationships with Jesus Christ. We focused on helping people connect through fellowships and Bible studies, such as the Men’s Brotherhood led by Brother Rex Herford. We created small group bible study  lay-counseling training program, so that our people would be better listeners, comforters, and advisors to those around them.

Looking to the Future

One Rugged Cross Church has been one of South Dallas fastest-growing churches—not the largest, but the fastest-growing. With the completion of our new youth Center in the fall of 2008, we are looking for new ways to encourage all people to pursue lifelong, joyous relationships with Jesus Christ.
